About
Get to know me!
I'm Manan Deopurkar, a freshman at IIIT Hyderabad, originally from Pune. I can speak Hindi, Marathi and English
I got into coding in sixth standard when QBasic was introduced at school. I built a simple 3 variable calculator using QBasic. My father deepened that interest by teaching me how to build Arduino projects. We built a remote controlled car using RC module and worked on a programmable LED strip. Me and my friend built an edge-avoiding car for a school competition.
I found Python during the 2020 lockdown and haven't stopped building since.
I enjoy playing football and frisbee in college. I'm also interested in competitive programming, and the particular satisfaction of finishing something that actually works.
I'm especially fascinated by neural networks and how systems can learn patterns rather than just follow instructions.
Not everything I build is polished or impressive, but each one teaches me something I couldn't have learned just by reading about it. If the idea is fun enough, that's reason enough to start.
